Easy, Tasty Bbq Recipes for Your Next Cookout

The BBQ recipes and tips you’ll find here are all part of a long family tradition of great barbecue. My dad started the tradition about forty-five years ago. He loved to barbecue, and he taught me to love it too. So, what makes my BBQ Recipes so easy? A good recipe can be quick (grilling), or slow (BBQ smoking).

What makes it easy is not how long it takes, but how well the cooking method is explained and detailed. All my recipes include the cooking technique involved so you’ll know exactly what to do. Let’s say for instance… You plan on centering your day around a barbecue party (not a bad idea!).

A slow smoking recipe like my “Texas Brisket” recipe can satisfy a small crowd! Make up the “Texas Drizzle Sauce” recipe while it cooks and you’ll be all set. Or, if you just need a quick entree for dinner… Albuquerque Chicken is just the ticket.

A simple grilling marinade is included along with two different cooking techniques, depending on how much time you have. This recipe is addictive! Many of my recipes also have a little secret tip in them which helps to make for a more enjoyable cookout. Here are just a couple of samples for you…

1. How do you keep food from sticking, WITHOUT oiling up the food OR the grill? The secret? Place the cooking surface on the grill just before you place the food on it and let them heat up together. Yes, you will still get those great looking grill marks on the food…it just won’t stick! How cool is that? (the Grilling Tips section has a second method you can use) Or…

2. How do you slow smoke a turkey for 8 hours, and still have a golden brown bird (instead of a black one) when you’re done? The secret? Wrap the bird in a double layer of cheesecloth beforehand (any grocer has it) and it catches all the black soot from the smoke…only the flavor penetrates.

A picture-perfect holiday favorite! These BBQ recipes include grilling, smoking, and rotisserie cooking methods for Chicken, Beef, Pork, Fish, Bison, Turkey, Lobster, even Pheasant! Recipes for vegetables…you betcha. Grilled Corn on the cob, grilled zucchini, vegetable packets, grilled potato recipes, it’s all here.

I even have some of my favorite side dish recipes for coleslaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans, and other dishes that can be made ahead of time to help round out a really special occasion. Along with all the pages for delicious BBQ recipes… I have some pages explaining the different types of grills, their various features, and how they’re used.

There are some cool grilling tools you should know about, too. Finally, there’s the meat itself… It’s where the rubber chicken meets the road, so to speak. Seriously though, a great BBQ recipe is only as good as the meat (or vegetable) it uses.

In my “meat” pages you’ll find out what I believe quality meat is all about. After all, if it’s going to wind up on your plate, there are some things you may want to know about it. So pick a category and look around a little. I know you’ll find a BBQ recipe you can’t wait to try!
